Regina Update… June 26, 2016: Team MX101 FXR Yamaha had a great weekend at the Regina round of the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals. Dylan Wright went 3-2, Jess Pettis went 5-3, and Hayden Halstead went 11-9 for the day. Three podium visits is exactly what the team was looking for. Unfortunately, at the end of the day Dylan and Hayden were penalized along with more than 1/4 of the racers (11 or more) who all jumped on a badly positioned red cross flag, which moved Dylan from 3rd to 9th for moto 1, and netted him a 5th overall and Hayden a 12th overall. Jess did not get penalized and kept his 4th place overall. Jess and Dylan both on the podium for the second moto (with no penalties) was definitely the highlight for the weekend. After receiving a one lap penalty in Kamloops due to a faulty start gate and this 10 position penalty for jumping on a red cross with 11 other riders, Dylan is holding the unfortunate title of most penalized rider in the western swing. The team is looking forward to the eastern rounds starting at Gopher Dunes on July 10th. Dylan and Jess are running 5th and 6th in points respectively, and hoping to move up quickly to challenge for the podium at the end of the year.
