Barrie Update…

Aug 14, 2016: Team MX101 FXR Yamaha had a fantastic final weekend of the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals. Dylan Wright scored 2nd Overall, Jess Pettis 3rd Overall, and Hayden Halstead double classed and went 12th Overall in the MX2 class and 13th in the MX1.

In the first moto Dylan and Jess got great starts with Dylan coming out of the first turn in second place.  The competition is tough in Canadian Motocross and the battles are rough.  Dylan made a mistake and Cole Thompson and Dylan came together in a corner as Cole made the pass and Dylan went down.  The two riders had pulled out a huge lead, so Dylan remounted to finish in second.  Jess Pettis had worked his way up to third and was not far off the battle for first when the moto ended, giving MX101 FXR Yamaha two on the box for the first moto!    In the second moto Dylan and Jess finished 2nd and 3rd, giving the team 2nd and third overall for the day as well!

Hayden was the IronMan on the weekend and raced both classes, four motos, and went 12th and 13th.  For his efforts he moved up in the points and got himself a lower number for 2017!

Dylan, Jess, and Hayden finished the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals in 3rd, 5th and 8th in Championship respectively.  The team was coming on incredibly strong in the east after a tough western swing due to some injuries from Nanaimo.  Next year is coming quickly, and we are excited to keep charging to the front!

The team is now heading to the Walton TransCan Grand National Championship PRO OPEN, which is a new race with a different format where all the 450 and 250 racers will compete in one SUPER FINAL.  Dylan, Jess and Hayden will get to compete against all the top 450 guys and see where they finish.  The race will be broadcast live, so check out the details here, and the live stream here.  Dylan may even race a 450, so this is one to watch.  Team MX101 FXR Yamaha is ready.
