Walton Update…

Aug 21, 2016: Team MX101 FXR Yamaha had a tough weekend at the Walton  Grand National Championships PRO OPEN.

Dylan Wright scored 5th Overall, Jess Pettis 10th Overall, and Hayden Halstead went 17th Overall in SUPER FINAL, which pitted every rider from both classes into one race.

Dylan qualified fastest in the morning when it was muddy, but once it dried out the power of the 450 had him running not quite as smooth as he usually does.  But it was simple tip overs in the greasy and rutted Walton track that would ultimately be his undoing.  Dylan was running third and a quick fall had him back to 5th, and then another fall put him back as far as ninth.  DW kept working though, and made some last lap passes to end up in 5th.

Jess and Hayden struggled with the conditions all day.  Walton had received a gigantic amount of rain during the Amateur racing, and then received more the night before the PRO OPEN.  The Walton track crew got it back to race condition, but the track was extremely challenging.

The team is now supporting Dylan Wright as he heads down to Indiana to race the US AMA National.  Jess and Hayden are taking a few weeks off.  Arenacross is coming quickly and everyone needs to prepare for that.  Team MX101 FXR Yamaha is ready.
